Background
The overall mandate of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is to provide leadership, operational support, and oversight of the security management system to enable the safest and most efficient conduct of the programmes and activities of the United Nations System.
The UNDSS headquarters is based in New York, and it has operations in more than one hundred countries.
UNDSS Bangladesh is supporting the UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes in Bangladesh, through security advice and guidance to enable the UN agencies to conduct their operations in the safest way possible as well as enabling the safety and security of UN staff and assets nationwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the UNDSS Security Advisor (SA) the key functions of the incumbent are:
A. Maintain full functionality of Security Communication System
B. Conduct Regular Tracking of UN personnel
C. Daily Media and Situation Report
D. Other Regular Activities
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
