The incumbent will support identity management activities in UNHCR FO Zarzis, with a primary focus on the renewal of asylum seeker and refugee documentation. The incumbent will assist with scheduling and reception, actively participate in the renewal process, and handle routine cases in line with UNHCR standards and procedures. Key responsibilities include conducting interviews when required, counselling persons of concern on renewal procedures and rights, responding to queries, and ensuring timely referrals for individuals with specific needs. The incumbent will maintain accurate and up-to-date records in UNHCR systems, contribute to data entry and reporting, and assist in preparing statistics and documentation related to identity management and reception. The incumbent will ensure that standard operating procedures are applied in reception activities and will work closely with other units to maintain an efficient workflow for case processing in the reception area. Additionally, the incumbent will ensure accurate data collection during dedicated surveys conducted as part of identity management activities. Close collaboration with protection colleagues, programme staff, data management teams, and partners will be essential to guarantee smooth operations and reliable population data. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality services while upholding UNHCR’s principles and standards.
