The National Junior Consultant – Education will provide technical and coordination support to UNESCO Dhaka Office in implementing key activities under the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Programme, GPE Programme Development Grant (PDG) and UNESCO’s regular education programme. Under ECW programme, the consultant will assist in the implementation of core interventions, including the Burmese Language Training and Certification for Rohingya teacher volunteers, Teachers’ and Facilitators’ Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and parenting education. Under the GPE Programme Development Grant (PDG), the consultant will support the finalization of programme proposal for the System Transformation Grant (STG). In addition to the ECW and GPE PDG assignments, the consultant will contribute to UNESCO’s regular education programme, particularly in areas such as teacher professional development, teacher policy, skills training, and the integration of ICT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. The consultant will assist through research, coordination, and technical support to advance UNESCO’s education agenda in Bangladesh.
Under the overall authority of the Head of Field Office, the overall supervision of the Head of Education, and the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer for Education, the incumbent will support the effective implementation of the aforementioned programmes.

The duration of the assignment is 6 months, renewable subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance. The assignment is expected to start on 01 January 2026 and end on 30 June 2026.
