Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the SMU team, the intern will support the following activities: • Desktop Publishing and Design: Assist in formatting and designing OSAA knowledge products (e.g., factsheets, policy briefs and papers). Support the creation of digital assets such as flyers, visuals, and graphics. Provide technical assistance in preparing visual assets for OSAA publications. • Website Content Support: Assist in preparing and organizing multimedia content for OSAA’s website. Support improvements to the layout and presentation of existing content. • Data Visualization and Technical Support: Assist in creating simple data visualizations for reports and presentations. Provide technical input for improving the visual quality of OSAA materials.
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign Knowledge of Canva
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
