Position: Volunteers – STS Fung-Wong (local name Uwan) Emergency Response

Location: Cagayan, Isabela and Aurora provinces

Reports to: Project Manager, Project Officer

Duration: 15 days (within November-December 2025, subject to project award and funding)

In the Philippines, RI has delivered a wide spectrum of humanitarian assistance and development programming including institutionalizing improved Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services with local government, responding to natural disasters through food and NFI distribution, and building the capacity of local government to improve Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) preparedness.

Position Summary:

Post-Typhoon Uwan (with international name FUNG-WONG), the enumerator/volunteer will conduct rapid needs assessment, households profiling, beneficiary validation of pre-identified households, and post-distribution monitoring (PDM) for the Typhoon Uwan Emergency Response in affected communities and municipalities in Aurora and or Isabela provinces. The volunteers will be assisting also the ER activities like distribution of kits and community sessions.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Attend the orientation on the use of template and guidelines in the conduct of the data
  2. Gathering, including RNA and PDM.
  3. Performing day-to-day data collection activities using the template provided by RI and the
  4. Consortium (target of around 30 households per day for the household profiling, beneficiary validation, and PDM activities).
  5. Get consent and take photos from the field.
  6. Ensure that data collection processes are in accordance with RI guidelines; and
  7. Assist in the preparation and distribution of the relief assistance for emergency response.
  8. Conduct community sessions and orientation on hygiene promotion and protection key messages.
