Mission and objectives

Youth Co:Lab positions young people front and center in order to solve the region’s most pressing challenges. Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.

Context

The task will contribute to the resource mobilization of the Youth Moonshot. Driving youth leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and climate action now in 30 countries in the Asia–Pacific region, UNDP’s regional youth moonshot aims to scale from 200,000 youth-led innovations to date to 7 million. The youth moonshot also supports Governments in shaping youth policies, national diagnostics, research, and capacity-building and builds on a base of up to 1,000 partnerships with the private sector, academia, financial and ecosystem partners at all levels. The youth moonshot drives impact through five pathways: financing for innovations via multi-sector partnerships, building university networks, leveraging UNDP's country and regional level presence to scale impact, translating grassroots insights into policy influence, and strategic convening. Task Description

- Conduct stakeholder mapping exercises to identify and engage potential partners across the region. - Support the design and development of up to two (2) partnership proposals (2–3 pages each) related to the UNDP Youth Moonshot initiative. - Support in the Youth Moonshot crowdfunding plan by integrating the case studies into the plan, ensuring consistency with UNDP priorities, Youth Moonshot objectives, and relevant donor expectations. - Coordinate with internal teams and key stakeholders to support partnership-building and resource mobilization for youth-focused initiatives. - Collaborate with UNDP colleagues to ensure all deliverables are coherent and strategically aligned with ongoing Youth Moonshot activities.
