In this full-time role, you’ll work as a part of our Commercial Finance Team supporting the Climate Change Division (CCD) team to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. You’ll work from our Melbourne office, or remotely from home, when not delivering programs or attending meetings. We are also open to candidates who are based globally with the ability to work from one of our member countries with an approved hosting arrangement.
The Finance Manager: Building the Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector (BRACE) plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children.
Reporting to Senior Management Accountant, you will lead the financial management of BRACE within Save the Children Australia’s Climate Change Division. Working alongside Save the Children country offices you will be part of a multidisciplinary climate and education team.
You will make a difference by:
· Lead the financial management and oversight of the project
· Serve as the key focal point for all BRACE project-related finance activities, liaising with internal teams (country offices and Save the Children Australia) and external implementing partners and stakeholders
· Maintain robust process controls to meet financial deliverables and reporting requirements
· Collaborate with the country teams to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for key stakeholders.

This role requires:
· Significant experience in humanitarian or development programming and financial and budget management
· Strong skills in interpersonal communication, collaboration and facilitation
· Strong Excel and data extraction skills, including experience developing reports
· Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and to strict deadlines.
· Flexibility and ability to work out of hours to engage with colleagues in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
