Job Description

You will research and evaluate potential solutions aiming to provide a concrete tool that will be part of the AFT application. You will be able to gain extensive knowledge in a variety of technologies used in the industry, the complete development cycle of enterprise tools, aiming to provide a concrete solution which will be used throughout the Accelerator & Technology Sector.

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in the gathering of User Requirements.
  • Contribute to the Analysis & Design of the tool with an emphasis on the UX aspects.
  • Take part in the implementation of the full-stack including writing tests.
  • Participate in the operational deployment and in user support.

Your profile

  • Practical knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Practical knowledge of Java.
  • Practical knowledge of one of the major Web frameworks (Angular, VueJS, React).
  • Practical knowledge of SpringBoot and Gradle.

Skills:

  • Typescript and Angular.
  • Java.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Basic knowledge of Git and DevOps practices.
  • Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Web development (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
  • Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Additional Information

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

Working hours: 40 hours per week
