JOB TITLE: Logistics Associate (Fund Management)-G6

CONTRACT DURATION: 12 Months
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
These jobs are found in Country Offices (COs)/ Regional Bureau (RBs), and Headquarters (HQ). Job holders in the field typically report to the Country Director or the designate. Job holders in RBs or HQ typically report to a more senior Administration Officer, Job holders are likely to be working under the supervision of a more experienced staff member, receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed.
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the delivery of quality, customer-focused, value for money administrative services that enable staff in country/location operations to deliver food assistance to beneficiaries, in line with WFP's strategy.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):
Manage Invoice processes / Budget allocated and provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and contributing directly to vendor management.
Gather market intelligence, participate in cost analysis of the various corridor's operations including local cost. Manage internal and overlanded matrix cist to ensure clear management of our cost.
Manage complex operational budget processes and provide solutions or recommendations related to all analytics methods using initiative and following processes, to ensure the provision of timely resolutions with excellent client service mind-set.
Support oversight for budget analysis data quality and integrity.
Provide comprehensive analyses of budget and contribute to assessments and operational/ to ensure that operations requirements are taken into consideration.
Perform research, collect data and conduct analysis to produce comprehensive reports (e.g. Budget report, Matrix cost and Budget allocation) providing insight and recommendations that enable informed decision-making.
Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support logistics operations management and strengthen partnerships on humanitarian supply chain.
Providing technical advice, coaching, guidance and training to sub offices invoice focal point, to ensure individual and team objectives are delivered to agreed standards and deadlines for all matters.
Provide technical guidance to all logistics vendors to the utilization of invoice software such as the new ITS software.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE:
Six years of experience in logistics of fund management or a related field.
Experience maintaining corporate systems and running queries on ongoing shipments, pipeline information, insurance claims, and food stock.
Experience in administering third party service providers' contracts.
Experience in compiling contract documentation.
Experience in contract execution.
Experience in budget monitoring and reporting.
STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post- secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Language: National Professional: Fluency (level C) in French language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of English language.
