How can you make a difference? 

Under the supervision of the Chief of Education, review and contextualize two in-person modules for teachers and teacher trainers on professional learning in effective pedagogy utilizing technology to enhance the educational experience.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Submit inception report outlining the methodology, timeline, and work plan for the assignment.
  2. Conduct review of the existing modules to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the module.
  3. Based on the review findings, contextualize and draft the modules
  4. Present the draft modules to MoE and UNICEF and finalize the draft modules based on feedback from MoE and UNICEF  
  5. Submit final modules and final report documenting the process, changes made, and recommendations.

DELIVERABLES:

  1. An inception report
  2. A detailed review report identifying gaps and areas for improvement in the modules
  3. Draft modules submitted
  4. Final modules submitted
  5. Comprehensive report summarizing the consultancy process, key findings, and recommendations for future updates.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • MA in Education, Curriculum Development, Instruction Design, or a related field
  • At least five years of experience in teacher professional development, curriculum. development, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogy and technology integration in education.
  • Familiarity with the local education context, policies, and cultural dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Prior experience working with international organizations or government education programs is an advantage.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws. 

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
