The Position:
The Security Analyst shall be based in Dhaka, with field visits to locations where UNFPA has operations in the country. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the UNFPA Representative, the Security Analyst in collaboration with the International Operations Manager (IOM), will coordinate the day-to-day security activities, and maintain a line of communication with the Office of the Security Coordinator (OSC) through the Asia and the Pacific Regional Security Adviser (RSA) on all technical and security policy issues.

Job Purpose:
The Security Analyst will assist the Representative in the implementation of the security related functions and provide leadership and advice to the Country Office (CO) personnel on all aspects related to planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of CO security activities including both Dhaka and UNFPA Sub Office in Cox’s Bazar. The Security Analyst maintains close co-operation with the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), and other UN Security Management System organizations.

Master’s degree in Security Risk Management, political/social or international relations, law enforcement law or related area or License’s degree with at least one year of relevant progressively responsible experience in the field of security risk management or Bachelors’ degree with at least two year of relevant progressively responsible experience in the field of security risk management or a Service with military or Police with technical certification in security management with at least two relevant progressively responsible experience in the field of security risk management.

Fluency in English and Bangla is required. Working knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
