Organizational Context and Scope
Since the inception of IOM in 1951, Movement Operations have been and continue to be a fundamental pillar of the Organization’s work. The organized movement of persons in need of international migration assistance is a primary mandate of the Organization and a cornerstone of IOM’s operations. This mandate has resulted in the international transport of more than 15 million migrants and refugees worldwide.
Under the general supervision of the Chief of mission and the direct supervision of AVRR Coordinator in the country office, Pakistan and overall supervision of National Movement Operations Manager, the Project Associate (Reintegration) is responsible for undertaking movements activities, with the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Provide assistance to returnees under various AVRR programs to explore and analyze various possibilities in optimum and practical utilization of the reintegration support.
2. Negotiate with service providers providing services/ products to returnees to facilitate the reintegration process for returnees.
3. Guide the returnees for available vocational training, employment opportunities and housing.
4. Provide support to returnee’s post counselling with filling up the required documentation from the project perspective.
5. Provide facilitation to returnees in drafting business plans and guiding them in setting up their businesses with information on how to obtain documents for a business, possible competitors, additional sources of funding and possible problems that they might encounter
6. Facilitate the preparation of periodical reports concerning the activities of the reintegration of beneficiary groups.
7. Follow-up on financial payments for the beneficiaries; ensuring prompt payment to the supplier of the training organization for the beneficiary
8. Assist in the organization/conduction of monitoring/evaluation exercises and make physical visits at business sites of returnees
9. Facilitate the organization of FGDs, teleconferences & monitoring advise sessions whenever requested
10. Arrange business Management/ Enterprise Development Training liaison with the institute /participants to ensure proper training arrangements and following up to
11. Verify all necessary payments and reports are completed in due time and reported to the Coordinator per schedule.
12. Provide arrival/reception assistance to returnees upon request from various IOM missions
13. Conduct interviews with family tracing activities and AVR of unaccompanied minors through physical visits
14. Follow-up that case management notes are updated in MiMOSA during the facilitation process for all AVRR cases.
15. Any other duties as may be assigned by the organization.

Strong computer skills - Word, Excel and Internet; experience with social services work and private sector engagement is a strong advantage.
Languages:
