The Human Resources Department has an opening for a Human Resources Officer in the HR Operations Division, Talent team. Under the general supervision of the Division Chief/Deputy Division Chief/Section Chief, the selected candidate will be part of a team that manages HQ recruitment operations across the Fund.

Main areas of accountability and/or co-accountability include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing external talent acquisition and internal staffing at the international level and for a broader range of job families.

  • Providing guidance to hiring managers and Client Services partners (departmental HR teams) on recruitment matters to ensure activities align with departmental and institutional needs.

  • Coordinating with Client Services partners on different recruitment activities throughout the recruitment life cycle (i.e., posting, screening, salary determination, offers, etc.) in line with IMF policies and practices.

  • Ensuring smooth delivery of Talent operations working together with the respective HR Talent Analyst. Deliver strong customer service, gauging stakeholder needs and preferences to adapt approach to specific needs and promote effective issue resolution. Managing and mitigating recruitment risks.

  • Responding to standard recruitment policy and procedure inquiries from client departments and candidates. Assist with issue resolution, including escalation management and support.

  • Actively engaging with the Talent and Total Rewards Centers of Expertise (COEs), facilitating two-way knowledge transfer and helping to ensure alignment between operations and talent management policies and programs.

  • Contributing to the design, implementation, and monitoring of recruitment policies and procedures, constantly reviewing for simplification opportunities and an enhanced recruitment experience.

  • Staying abreast of recruitment trends, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Participating in divisional/departmental ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

The successful candidates should meet the following qualifications and competencies:

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree plus six years of relevant professional experience.

  • Experience in recruitment roles and broad knowledge of HR programs and operations - particularly recruitment policies and procedures.

  • Ability to use tact, sound judgment, and utmost discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters.

  • Learning agility, strong analytical, data management, and continuous improvement skills to research issues and identify solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate and partner across multiple stakeholder groups and levels. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently (with minimal supervision) and across teams in an effective way.

  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, exhibits proactivity and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills—oral and written. Focus on operational excellence.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (including Pivot tables). Familiarity with Workday and ServiceNow would be an advantage.

This vacancy shall be filled by a 3-year Term appointment in accordance with the Fund’s new employment rules that took effect on May 1, 2015.

A regular staff member who is selected to fill the vacancy will maintain their open-ended status. If the selected candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment. Staff members already on a term appointment will continue their current term but may receive an extension provided that their current term appointment has not already been extended.
