Job Description

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.

We won’t stop until we are all equal.

The Opportunity:

The Country Information and Technology (CIT) Manager’s role is to manage the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) environment and services - including responsibility for information security. You will also be charged to lead the implementation and integration of ICT4D technologies in project implementation across the country, and other innovation initiatives to increase the reach of our response - developing a well-maintained knowledge management system.

The Individual/About You:

The CIT Manager should be a holder of Master’s Degree or its equivalent in a Computer studies discipline, with a minimum of five (05) years relevant experience in the field of ICT - preferably with management responsibilities.

Also, you will demonstrate a good capability to coordinate and cooperate within interdisciplinary and diverse teams, prioritising work effectively for execution with limited resources. As CIT Manager, your strong conceptual and analytical skills, knowledge of MS Project/PMD Pro and Office applications - alongside your expert-user level knowledge of agency-supported ICT4D solutions will be vital to you accomplishing the objectives on this role.
