We're launching an 18-month initiative across four municipalities in Samar. Our focus: enhancing local government capabilities and raising disaster risk reduction awareness. With your help, we aim to bolster the resilience of over 7,680 individuals, preparing them to face and mitigate the challenges posed by nature's unpredictability. Be part of a transformative project that empowers and protects vulnerable populations.

In line with this project, Plan International Pilipinas seeks a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Officer to join our team on a transformative journey.

Your role involves:

  • Lead the implementation of our project's Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) plan.
  • Develop and use data collection tools to track project progress and impact.
  • Analyze project achievements, stakeholder feedback, and learnings.
  • Provide technical guidance to project staff on MERL implementation.
  • Lead the creation of project reports for submission to donors.

Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities covered by Plan International.

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Graduate of Social Science, Statistics, Social Work, Community Development, or another related course.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in development work and three years in conducting research, planning, developing, and managing community development work-related projects.
  • Knowledgeable in Project Management, participatory research and monitoring & evaluation methods especially involving girls and boys in the processes, project proposal development.
  • Has relevant skills in community organizing, participatory appraisal, and DRR systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a complex and varied workload.
  • Good command of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
  • Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals.
