Poor health conditions and malnutrition are major issues confronting the influx of Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMN). We need to prepare ourselves to control the situation and to prevent deaths and disabilities in FDMN children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM). This study is therefore going to assess the effectiveness of the local Nutrition Managements for the treatment of SAM in Bangladesh.

Position description:

The Field Assistant reporting to the Field Research Manager will provide assistance to team members at the Integrated Nutrition Facility and engage in all study activities at the household level within the FDMN Camps.

S/he will be involved in –

Assist in screening and enrollment process;
Assist the FRAs in collecting data;
Assist Study Physicians in managing the patients at INF;
Assist the FRAs in taking physical measurements;
Assist the FRAs in dispensing study diets to the study participants;
Help the mothers for getting the service provided in INF;
Maintain good relationship with mothers, INF Staff, and other stakeholders;
Maintenance of electronic devices and other tools or equipment;
Visit the households of the study participants if required.

Required qualification and experience:

SSC.
1 year relavant experience.

Location: Cox’s Bazar (Teknaf/Ukhiya)

Contract Type and duration:

CSA basis for four months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Salary & benefits:

Tk.26,583/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
