About our client

United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), a Global NGO based in New York advocating human rights and development by connecting countries and organization together. In 2012, UNDP established the Global Shared Services Unit (GSSU) based in Cyberjaya to serve UNDP’s network of offices (covering 166 countries around the world).

About the role

The ICT Associate provides leadership in execution of ICT services in the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC), implements ICT management systems and strategies, provides daily technical support to users of information management tools and technology infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensures implementation of ICT strategies and introduction/implementation of new technologies.

  • Ensures effective functioning of the GSSC hardware and software packages.

  • Provision of advice on maintenance of equipment and acquisition of hardware supplies, making routine repairs and change of hardware electronic components.

  • Supervision of the implementation of corporate UNDP systems.

  • Development of new softwares/applications for high impact results (e.g. office management system, electronic registry, Sharepoint etc).

  • Ensures efficient networks administration.

  • Operation of network utility procedures defining network users and security attributes establishing directories, menus and drive-mappings, configuring network printers and providing user access.

  • Trouble-shooting and monitoring of network problems.

  • Provides web management services.

  • Identification of the opportunities and ways of converting business processes into web-based systems to address the issues of efficiency (office management system, donor profile software, knowledge management systems).

  • Developing new web components using XML, .NET, SQL, and C#.

  • Designing, coding, and implementing scalable applications.

  • Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.

You will have

  • Secondary education with relevant certifications in hardware and software management and application (Microsoft Certification, Cisco Certification) OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science desirable.

  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) required. If certification is not available at the time of recruitment, it should be obtained within 6 months.

  • Min 4 years of relevant working experience, including network administration, management of hardware and software platforms, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications.

  • Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint.

  • Preferably with experience managing a team.
