Project Coordinator – Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Promising Practices Documentation
Location – Batticaloa
*This position is for a period of one year – ending on June 2022
To ensure the total implementation of the project which is to document, capture and communicate World Vision Lanka’s distinctive competences in transformative Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) programming and effective practices based on inclusive livelihood (iLive) project that can provide World Vision (WV) with significant, long-term benefits. The documentation will aim at improving the existing communication and evidence creation materials, collecting new data through conducting an assessment and case stories and collate and compile all previous and new data to produce a final report based on the GESI promising practices of iLive project.
Lead the implementation of project activities/goal and ensure meeting of indicators as targets.
Plan for effective implementation of monitoring and reporting standards of projects.
Strategize for effective partnerships and networking of stakeholders and likeminded persons/ organizations for promotion of World Vision’s work on GESI and help establish collaborations on GESI.
Implement project budget in collaboration with Operations, Finance and procurement to deliver project expectations.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Contribute towards organizational learning, reflection & dissemination of lessons learnt, best practices and most significant changes. within World Vision Lanka and partners and introducing innovative tools to document sector specific best practices.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Minimum 2 years’ experience in development sector with project management, communications and documentation.
A University Degree in Sociology, Gender, Communication or relevant field
Knowledge of Gender, Disability, Inclusive livelihood.
Experience in project management including drafting reports and materials.
Ability to work with flexibility in conflicting properties and willingness to work under pressure.
Experience in working with vulnerable communities.
Fluency and command of spoken and written English, Sinhala and/or Tamil language.
