Staffing Decisions, Staff Engagement and HR Matters
- Advise management team on how to approach different HR matters, adhering to all local labour and employment regulations.
- Contribute to staffing conversations, from identifying skill gaps, to setting job scope and salary, to choosing appropriate recruitment strategies.
- Monitor adherence to policies set by Global Talent, adapt procedures and administrative systems to follow local regulations.
- Responsible for the staff engagement budget, reporting to the management team and working with the rest of the team to decide the appropriate usage of the budget, for professional development, staff wellbeing and other staff engagement activities.
Recruitment Tactics and Process
- Assist hiring managers in understanding and following policies & procedures set by Global Search team.
- Work with hiring managers to determine the best recruitment tactics.
- Manage job applications and schedule interviews on the JobVite platform.
- Support hiring managers in engaging shortlisted candidates and set appropriate expectations for them.
- Conduct interviews, background research and reference checks as necessary.
Day-to-day Talent Operations and Administration
- Manage tasks and processes relating to talent operations, e.g. employment contract, onboarding, paid & unpaid leaves, annual performance review, change in working pattern, disciplinary and grievance process, employment termination, etc.
- Coordinate with the finance staff in processing monthly payroll, pension contributions and annual insurance policies renewal.
- Coordinate with and obtain advise from (internally) Global Talent team, Integrity (legal) team, IT team, European Operations team, (externally) pro-bono lawyers, payroll agency, as and when needed.
- Administrative support to the board of trustees, including schedule board meetings and annual general meetings, coordinate and distribute meeting papers, minutes taking, trustees’ expense reimbursements, etc.
- Office management.

- Excellent empathetic communicator, both verbally and in writing; the ability to clarify complicated process; active listening.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a diverse group of smart, caring colleagues who want to make a meaningful change in the world.

This is a permanent position based in UK (preferably in or near London) with some national and international travel when permitted. It is not a visa-bearing role, so you must have the right to work in the UK to apply.

- Ideal start date: 1 August 2021 (or earlier)
- Commitment: Full-time (flexible working arrangements will be considered with the right candidate).
- Salary range: £30,000 - £40,000 p.a., dependent on experience.
- Ability to work remotely: you will have the flexibility to choose to work remotely occasionally or at the office in London (subject to government’s guidelines and legislations on COVID)
- Benefits: 25 days of paid leaves plus bank holidays, 3% employer pension contribution, travel insurance coverage, discretionary parental leaves & pay, flexible working pattern.
