CHAI’s global malaria program provides direct technical and operational support to countries around the globe to strengthen their malaria programs and reduce the burden of this preventable, treatable disease. We support governments to scale up effective interventions for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance, with the goals of sustainably reducing the number of malaria-related illnesses and deaths worldwide in the short-term and accelerating progress towards malaria elimination in the long term.
Overview of role
CHAI is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Senior Associate to manage a CHAI-led consortium of partners building market forecasts for malaria commodities (bed nets, insecticides, diagnostics, and treatments). This position will manage the operations of the project in compliance with grant guidelines and timelines, liaise with consortium partners and CHAI staff to ensure that project goals and timelines are met, interface with the project’s steering committee to coordinate meetings and collect feedback, and maintain project communications and relationships with malaria commodity suppliers and other global malaria stakeholders (e.g., Roll Back Malaria).
This person should be an experienced professional with expertise in complex project management, work planning, international team coordination, and will need to have exemplary communication skills. They must be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual with outstanding people and program management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. They must have excellent relationship building and communication skills. They must also be able to function independently with minimal oversight and have a strong commitment to excellence with a keen eye for detail.
