Job Description

Our supply logisticians make sure our projects are equipped with everything that's needed to deal with an emergency.

From collecting supplies off an MSF plane on a makeshift runway, to working with the medical team to forecast medical supplies months in advance, the work of a supply logistician is far reaching and vital to the whole team.

As a supply logistician, you will analyse in-country contexts in order to design, plan and set up a relevant supply chain, build the capacity of local staff and work closely with all departments to ensure accurate forecasting and emergency preparedness.

The supply department is basically the backbone of every project. Anup Ravi, MSF logistician

This is an exciting and diverse role in support involving some or all of the following:

Responsibilities

  • Define or revise the supply chain strategy according to the context and the operational needs of the project

  • Ensure efficient supply administration and provide adapted tools to support the various supply activities
  • Approve the use of supply-related third parties (suppliers, transport companies, freight forwarders)
  • Manage, train and supervise the supply team
  • At least two years’ relevant professional experience

Depending on our activities and needs, your responsibilities may be adapted according to the specific projects.
