Summary

The 11-person Global Talent Acquisition team at the foundation is responsible for partnering with hiring managers and executives across the foundation to find the best global talent available to fill exempt-level roles that help the organization meet its diverse and important missions. As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team (six full-cycle recruiters in the US, one full-cycle recruiter in India, two talent acquisition coordinators and one recruiting operations professional executing 300+ searches annually) you’ll be asked to develop and execute effective sourcing/selection strategies for hiring candidates in various positions ranging from entry to executive level. We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter who understands the importance of building strong relationships with candidates and business leaders alike, and brings focused experience in hiring for both technical (healthcare, biotech, pharma) and broad business operations roles (including IT).

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement effective and innovative sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract and source high quality leadership and executive level candidates for open leadership roles and opportunistic pipelining
  • Manage the full life cycle hiring process – from research/sourcing to offer
  • Source and identify qualified passive candidates using creative, out of the box recruiting methods
  • Complete candidate assessments
  • Develop talent pool through creative sourcing techniques including referral generation, networking, and direct sourcing
  • Provide a high touch, thorough, top notch candidate experience
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and executives
  • Act as a trusted business partner and consultant to hiring managers in hiring talented leaders, leveraging knowledge/expertise to provide input on the market, candidates, etc.
  • Prepare and conduct search kick-off strategies and weekly search update meetings with hiring managers
  • Assist with the creation job descriptions and job postings
  • Manage applicants’ information and update status on applicant tracking software system

Core Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of full life cycle recruitment.

  • Technical proficiency with MS Office, ATS (Workday), intranet and internet based tools, social-media tools (LinkedIn, social media), web-based recruiting (Boolean search strong sourcing) and sourcing tools.

  • Ability to recruit for diverse clients and businesses in alignment with an organization’s staffing plans.

  • Knowledge of applied HR practices and guidelines.

  • High-level client and candidate relationship management skills.

  • Solid interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written communications

  • Solid organizational and time-management skills; set expectations and communicate project milestones.

  • Ability to apply business acumen/ whole systems thinking in order to anticipate client needs, make effective decisions and influence across levels.

  • Strong cross-cultural competencies and ability to communicate effectively with diverse and global audience.

  • Passion for the foundation’s core mission and work.

  • Previous knowledge of (or ability to quickly gain understanding of) recruiting landscape across applicable sectors (i.e. global health, global development, pharma, biotech, non-profit).

  • Ability to source and engage passive candidates across diverse business sectors.

  • Ability to achieve results in complex, often ambiguous environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize clients, candidates and internal stakeholder needs.

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree with 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience successfully conducting searches in a global context/organization strongly preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates based in the greater Seattle area
